So I’ve been talking about the wild hogs that are tearing up the country around one of our places and the corn feeder, tree-stand and game camera we set up. (Click here for recap.)
We’ve gotten the chance several times to sit in the tree stand just before nightfall in hopes of getting us a nice sow. I even listened to them run across the creek when I thought I was being sneaky enough to get in the stand before they showed up.
But, hogs are smart and adapt very quickly to their surroundings. They rely mostly on their senses of smell and hearing, rather than sight. So, trying to sneak up on them is not likely.
According to the game camera these hogs spend much of their time at the corn feeder in the dead of night. So unless we decide to purchase some very costly night vision glasses, we are going to be coming up with a new game plan….because what once was sixteen hogs is now…
plus seven.
Now, we are just trying to keep Miss M from wanting to raise these “oh-so-cute-NOW” boarlets.
